YOU WERE MINE
wds&music Gary M.Wollman

You were mine
All of the stars were aligned in sight
Was a time
We romanced what we knew sublime

Like the rivers’ dance
We smiled at the chance of being one
Would the moment last
Or would it pass just like
The evening sun?

Would we go on running
What would we be leaving behind
Besides regret filled
with desperate nights
Of the lonely kind

No more cryin’
We stood for a moment so still
To follow the sign
Travelling so far and near together
It was
Divine

Something beyond what wild dreams could offer up
What life could mean
If we’d both drink from the silver cup
YOU WERE MINE

Through the worst and
best of times
We’d hold on tight
When the fight got tough
we always knew
Our love would be enough
